Feature interview

Java Duchess is a global network for connecting women in Java technology. We provide a platform through which women can connect with each other and get involved in the greater Java community. We organize workshops and social events, participate in existing Java User Groups, represent Duchess at Java conferences, and connect with each other online.

What's cool

  • Java Duchess local chapter in Paris, France: http://jduchess.org/duchess-france/
  • 2010: exciting and challenging. On the GlassFish side, we've put out a roadmap back in March, delivered a 3.0.1 release and seven milestones of 3.1.
  • 2011 will see the final release of 3.1, probably another important release (cf. the virtualization prototype) and initial progress on Java EE 7.
