Catch an Extreme Sports Show at OpenWorld, JavaOne and Oracle Develop

Among the performers is one of Oracle's very own - Lynn Cooper, Director of Demonstration Solutions Services at the Denver, Colorado tech center. Cooper, who joined Oracle in 1985, has been performing and competing in freestyle skateboarding for 35 years and turned pro in 1988. He says the connection between his two passions - technology and skateboarding -- has always been clear to him: "Oracle offers extreme technology solutions with offerings such as Exadata and Exalogic," he says. "Extreme technology, extreme sports - it all ties in."
Putting up a half-pipe skate ramp in the middle of the street was pretty extreme itself; organizers had to ask the city of San Francisco to allow them to temporarily remove a MUNI bus cable in order to make it fit. The shows, however, are worth it.
