The Duchess organization is an international network of passionate women Java programmers. They are geeky and fun!
The Duchess JavaOne Birds-of-a-Feather (BoFs) - Women in Java: An Unconference - is on Monday, October 3, 2011 from 19:00pm to 19:45pm, in the Divisidero Room at Parc 55 Hotel in San Francisco. The discussion will be about the role of women in Java and IT in general, with a meet-and-greet for women and a short presentation about jDuchess. A JavaOne pass is required to attend this session.
Since 2007, Duchess has organized BoFs (Birds-of-a-Feather) sessions at Java conferences such as JavaOne, Devoxx, jFolkus, and OSCON, where Duchess members met to discuss topics relevant to women who work with Java and technology in general.
