Oracle and GlobalPlatform SE IoT Workshop in Nuremberg Feb 2020

Oracle, in collaboration with GlobalPlatform, is pleased to sponsor a Secure Element (SE) for IoT Workshop on Thursday 27 February hosted in Nuremberg, Germany

This workshop will be of greatest interest to program / project managers, security experts, product suppliers, technical consultants, developers, systems integrators and all others who are also involved with deployment and use of secure IoT devices.

The one-day sponsor-supported workshop will offer insight into standardized and readily available security frameworks and component technologies necessary to build trust into IoT development and deployment.

The workshop agenda is built around three principle topics:

  • the Secure Element (SE) itself - This session explores how the GlobalPlatform Framework and Java Card Technology allow applications with different security requirements to share a variety of secure hardware without impacting interoperabilty.
  • the SE for IoT - This session explains how both GlobalPlatform framework last specifications and Oracle Java Card 3.1 latest release benefit to IoT security devices and services. It will highlight some dedicated features like an IoT configuration, new I/O for trusted peripherals, extended cryptography ... 
  • and finally but mainly use cases and demonstrations - It includes a complete journey to secure an IoT device during all its lifecycle phases. In particular, Device Onboarding, Device Attestation, Mutual Authentication and Secure Communication with a cloud service and Access to Secure Peripherals will be demonstrated and detailed.
