JavaOne Latin America Preview

by Tori Wieldt

It's less than a week away from JavaOne Latin America (and I should be packing!). The conference will be held at the Transamerica Expo Center in São Paulo, Brazil December 7-9. JavaOne will be a valuable community event for Java developers, with more than 50 technical sessions selected by the community. Developers will attend sessions on Java security, performance, web app development, and more.  There will also be hands-on labs and the DEMOgrounds, where developers can see Java in action and talk to product experts.

Adam Messinger, Vice President of Development for Fusion Middleware, will be giving the opening keynote on the Direction and Strategy of Java. The technical keynotes will cover the latest developments on Embedded Java, Java SE, and Java EE from Java technical experts Greg Bollella, Danny Coward, Jerome Dochez, and Arun Gupta.

If you are coming to JavaOne Latin America, be sure to visit to the OTN (Oracle Technology Network) lounge. At the OTN lounge, you can talk to Java experts, watch video interviews with technology gurus, hang with JUG leaders, get something to drink, or just relax between sessions. We'll be giving away Java t-shirts and software DVDs. We'll be there all day, so drop by and say hello. Also, Arun Gupta has put together this nifty list of JavaOne Brazil Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Promo Images, Websites, etc. so you can stay in touch during the conference.
