Java EE 7 Certification Survey - Participants Needed
By Tori Wieldt-Oracle on Oct 10, 2013
Help us define how to serve your training and certification needs for Java EE 7.
Oracle Certification and Server Technologies Curriculum Development are working to build two new Java EE 7 Certification exams and surrounding courses. We are looking to you to help validate our definition of the job roles identified for the Java EE 7 certification.
Our preliminary investigation shows that programmers and developers working with Java EE technology design and create applications using front-end technologies and/or server-side enterprise technologies.
With EE 7, Certified Java Programmers can pursue the Oracle University training courses they need to become either a front-end or server-side developer and then pass a single comprehensive exam that covers all the skills needed for their role.
Earning the new Oracle Certified Expert (OCE) credential distinguishes a Java developer as having the full suite of skills needed in today's marketplace:
- In the Web Application (front-end role), candidates become proficient in building customer-facing applications and designing for the end user.
- In the Enterprise Application (server-side role), candidates master the complexities of designing and building enterprise applications and scalable solutions.
We need your help! We are asking Java practitioners, hiring managers and recruiters to spend 10-15 minutes to complete this survey to help define the scope of the new certification.
NOTE: Your answers will remain anonymous, and you will not be contacted by Oracle as a result of answering this survey.
This survey will remain open through November 30, 2013.
