Welcome New Java Champion Attila Szegedi
Attila Szegedi has been a software engineer at major companies like Oracle and Twitter for the past two decades. He did his PhD research on dynamic slicing of bytecode programs for the JVM.
Attila developed an object analysis framework, and is the author of Dynalink – the dynamic linker framework for languages on the JVM, now a part of the OpenJDK. Atilla is one of the principal developers of the FreeMarker templating language runtime. He is a contributor to Kiji, Twitter’s server-optimized Ruby runtime.
Attila is one of the principal architects behind the Nashorn runtime, also part of the OpenJDK. He has evangelized Nashorn and its cross platform scripting with Java, contributing to its growing user base. He continues contributes to the OpenJDK.
Attila has published a lot of helpful articles. For example one about garbage collection has been downloaded over 100.000 times. He is a highly respected lecturer and teacher and a frequent speaker at Java conferences such as JavaOne and Devoxx. Follow him on Twitter @asz
