Clients and UI session topic is interesting, I really hope client side java sandbox revived.

There were two interesting topics from last year somewhat related to this:

"One Year of Java Security Enhancements" covered many of the changes that occurred, most of them from late last year. https://oracleus.activeevents.com/2013/connect/sessionDetail.ww?SESSION_ID=7799

Another was "Evolving the User Experience to Meet Today's Security Challenges" that covered some of the decisions that went into the newer dialogs. https://oracleus.activeevents.com/2013/connect/sessionDetail.ww?SESSION_ID=4825

If you would like to submit a talk on Java RIAs or client-installed applications (which were unaffected by the above), that could be a great talk.
