Oracle SOA Suite Adapter Connection Configuration

Vijaya Bhat

Let us explore how to configure a connection from OIC to your SOA Suite or Service Bus instance

Login to OIC and create a SOA Suite adapter connection from the OIC connection palette.

In the Connection Properties section, provide your SOA / Service Bus URL. Based on your server topology this is the Load Balancer / OTD / Cluster Frontend / Managed Server URL from where your SOA or Service Bus instance is accessible.

In the Credentials section, provide your SOA / Service Bus user credentials.

If you are integrating with SOA Suite, make sure this user is a part of the 'Operators' group and has the 'SOAOperator' role on that server. Likewise if you are integrating with Service Bus, make sure this user is a part of the 'Deployers' group on that server.

Configure the connectivity agent if required.

If your SOA / Service Bus is running on SOA Cloud Services, OIC would be able to access this URL directly. In that case you would not need to configure a connectivity agent. But if your SOA / Service Bus is running on premise, OIC would need a connectivity agent to reach this server. In such cases, specify a connectivity agent to use for this connection

Now 'Test' this connection and make sure you are able to successfully connect to your SOA / Service Bus instance.
