Welcome to the 22.12 release of Oracle Integration 3, also known as OIC 3. This release brings a plethora of new features, so without further ado, let's look at them!
Just as in OIC Gen 2, you can now Stop / Start your Oracle Integration 3 instance.
Previously, instances that used File Server or the Oracle Responsys Adapter were not ready for upgrade. With 22.12, instances using such are now eligible for upgrade.
OIC 3 22.12 introduces Projects. A project in OIC consists of all of the artifacts you need to implement an integration or set of integrations. Imagine you have many integration requirements around order processing. You could create an integration project for such and it would contain all of the integrations, connections, lookups, and libraries you need to implement your order processing use case(s). The project itself is self contained and can be managed and monitored independently. makes it very easy for us to create and schedule integrations.
You can, of course, still create integrations outside of projects. However, it does make the organization of your integratons and other artifacts that much easier to maintain.
Check out the following blog post for more details.
Monitoring / Observability is another focus area for Oracle Integration 3 improvement. The state of scheduled integrations is displayed in a label on the Monitor integrations page (for example, running, stopped, paused, and other states). Based on the state, applicable tasks are displayed under the Actions menu (for example, if the scheduled instance state is stopped,
selections for Edit Schedule, Run, Schedule, and Start Schedule are displayed).
The Filter option has also been enhanced -
Connections used in integrations can now be refreahed at integration level, both in the integration overview page as well as the integration designer -
Every release of OIC brings new additions in this space, this one is no exception. 22.12 sees the arrival of a couple of new adapters as well as enhancements to existing ones.
Recipes are pre-assembled solutions that bundle all the resources required by the integrations, such as the connections and lookups, into one package. Use a recipe to quickly get started building your first integration. OIC 3 already includes a plethora of recipes, this release sees more added. The following nicely augment the release of the new Primavera Cloud adapter -
Other new recipes include -
Our 22.12 release comes with a plethora of compelling new features, giving you more functionality to make it easier to organize and develop yout integrations. I also see we now ship with over 130 integration recipes; hope you get the chance to try out some of these soon!
