My Monitor is Wider Than it is Tall - New Layouts in Integration Cloud

New Layouts in Integration Cloud

I am sure most of you have noticed that your monitor is wider than it is tall.  To take advantage of this we have a new formats available in Integration Cloud to change the way we view orchestrations.

Vertical & Horizontal Layout

The first new feature is the ability to switch between veritcal and horizontal layouts.

If we have an orchestration we can change it between horizontal and vertical layout using the Layout button at the top of the canvas as shown below.

Choosing Horizontal will switch a vertical down the screen layout to a horizontal across the screen layout as shown below.

New Views in Integration Cloud

In addition to the ability to switch between horizontal and vertical layouts we now also support additional views of an orchestration.  The view above is the traditional canvas view of the orchestration.  But by selecting the different icons on the left at the top of the canvas we can switch to other views.

The second icon from the left is the "Pseudo View" that adds pseudo code to the canvas to help identify what each step in the orchestration is doing.

Note that the invoke tells us the connection and connection type being used.

The third icon from the left provides us with a "Code" view.  This is not editable but allows us to see the actual orchestration code.  This can be helpful at times to understand unexpected behaviors.

Integration Cloud now makes it easy to switch between horizontal and vertical layouts of an orchestration on the canvas.  It also allows us to see annotations on the canvas using "Pseudo View" that helps us to understand what individual activities are doing.  Both the "Canvas View" and the "Pseudo View" are editable.  The "Code View" is not editable.
