The IT organization at TeknoSA manages and supports the company's application portfolio and develops new applications that enable rapid implementation of business strategies.

The company wanted to:

  • Gain faster insight into daily sales trends required for decision making by consolidating reporting across the organization from diverse legacy systems

So what did TeknoSA do?

It created a foundation for advanced analysis of retail sales through a unified enterprise data warehouse and a single version of accurate sales data with Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition running on Oracle Exadata Database Machine.

This platform delivered insights into sales performance and better management decision making. It gave decision makers access to ad hoc sales analytics, such as forecasted retail revenue per store versus historic averages, while also enabling users to create customized sales reports. And it helped the company move from an IT-centric to a self-service reporting approach, eliminating the need for IT staff to configure reports according to frequently changing business demands.
