Simplifying your mobile app UI design with Oracle MAF 2.3.2

As you may already know Oracle
MAF 2.3.2
has been released and brought a bunch of new features
including important support for IPv6 only networks on iOS (requirement from Apple that any
apps submitted to Apple AppStore are required to support IPV6 only networks)
etc. You can find release notes with the full list of new features here
Some of the new features related to simplifying
of UI design and could make design of AMX pages easier.

- Support
for generating quick start page layouts for common mobile patterns
. This
feature makes it easier than even to create AMX pages with layouts based on
popular mobile patterns. The new AMX
page creation wizard has over 40 different layout patterns from which you can
select to get a head start in building mobile UIs. The layout patterns are based on research
performed by the Oracle Mobile User Experience team. To use Quick Start Layout you need in Create MAF AMX Page dialog check the Quick Start Layout checkbox to enable
page layout and the associated content layout options. The options in the Content Layout list depend on the Page
Layout option you choose. MAF generates an AMX page using the layout options
you choose.

- Affordance to clear content in InputText component

- Pagination
overflow support for Filmstrip

- Data Visualization Components enhancements

re-designed to be more intuitive, the new charting design time UI provides the
ability for an end user to view a dynamic chart sample while binding data to
various sections of the chart:

- Design time support for Picto Chart

- Support for displaying routes on Geomap with Oracle Maps

- Enhancements to the Chart components:

- Support for logarithmic scale axis

- Categorical label word wrap

- Regular interval chart axis support

- Support for rectangle and star shape markers

- Ability to control border width

- Ability to disable funnel slice labels

- Support for delayed chart series highlighting

- Ability to show total count on the top of the
bar in stacked bar

- Ability to specify a direction for zooming
and scrolling on a chart
