Yesterday, Sun's OpenSSO Fedlet, a simple, lightweight federation for Java and .NET apps, was awarded "Best Innovation" in Identity and Access Management and Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance at the Kuppinger Cole European Identity Conference  in Munich, Germany. Congratulations product team!

Today Sun released OpenSSO Express for Google Apps Premier Edition customers. The OpenSSO solution delivers rapid federation single sign-on enabling employees to use their enterprise logins to access Google Apps for increased security, accelerated user adoption, and improved administrative benefits.

Open-Source Identity Management Starter Kits

In conjunction with the OpenSSO Express launch, Sun also released Open-Source Identity Management Starter Kits, complete with technical articles and video demos. The kits are designed to help you solve specific business challenges, like Federated Single Sign-On to Google Apps and using OpenDS as a naming service for OpenSolaris,  through open-source development.

Identity Management, Bowling, and London- What more could you ask for?

Last week Sun participated as a platinum sponsor in the Gartner Identity & Access Management Summit. Thomson Reuters drew quite a crowd when they discussed their successful use of Sun OpenSSO. But the fun didn't stop there as Sun and Accenture co-hosted an after-hours event in the Kingpin Suite at the infamous Bloomsbury Lanes. Who knew Sun product managers were such great bowlers? Must have been their new retro bowling shirts!
