DEMO: Netbeans Connector Toolkit

This post introduces the Connector toolkit, a plugin for Netbeans IDE. The plugin aims to ease to start off a new connector project and demonstrate basic structure of a connector. More advanced users would reuse the ready-made Ant script.

The quickest way to start writing a connector is to use the Connector toolkit for Netbeans IDE. Main advantages of using the plugin are:

  • quickly generate a connector skeleton, lets the developer focus on functionality,
  • ready-made build script for JUnit tests,
  • integrated build/deploy with Netbeans IDE, including help.
To try out the plugin, follow the steps in the attached demo (opens with Acrobat Reader).
