Let’s call it the “new math” for the hospitality set:
Disruptive technologies + global trends + Oracle solutions = the future of Asia’s hotel business
The equation neatly sums up and previews Oracle Hospitality Connect in Singapore – a three-day conference that kicks off 10th December, bringing together the region’s top hoteliers, industry experts and Oracle leadership. The company’s premier industry event, OH Connect serves as a forum to share technology best practices and address hospitality’s most-pressing topics – and the critical role Oracle solutions can play in tackling them.
Held at the Fairmont Singapore, OH Connect also sets the stage for Alex Alt, Oracle Hospitality’s new senior vice president and general manager, to share his vision, providing customers with insights about the course he is charting for the global business unit and its upcoming product development initiatives.
Among the agenda highlights:
With industry consolidation, new business models and disruptive technologies, the world of travel is in a metamorphosis. At OH Connect, leading industry research firm, Skift, also unveils its 2020 Megatrends in Travel report, taking a deep dive to better understand the evolution and its impact on hoteliers.
Skift’s research explores a range of topics, including: the impact urban-living innovations, such as co-working and small and smart apartments, are having in shaping travel; destinations taking full stewardship of sustainability efforts; new opportunities for embedded, digital and mobile payments in the travel space; the rise of Gen Z and its unique taste for technology and sustainability; and Google’s push to become the biggest player in the travel game with its all-encompassing website and apps.
OH Connect has been designed specifically to deliver information and insights that matter most: understanding how to best use technology to improve operations, increase profitability and elevate the guest experience. It includes a presentation on Oracle’s hotel strategy, focusing on cloud transition and emerging technologies, as well as the development of products such as OPERA Cloud Property Management, Reporting, and Distribution & Integration capabilities.
OH Connect also takes a special look at hotel dining, which is emerging as a cornerstone of business. The Food & Beverage strategy session will examine the evolving nature of food and beverage operations and explore using advanced technology to meet guest expectations and unearth new revenue.
In addition, a staple of OH Connect conferences is hands-on demonstrations of applications and hardware. Oracle Hospitality partners also are scheduled to showcase their array of performance solutions. And, ultimately, the event is an ideal place to network, giving customers facetime with OH executives and providing for invaluable peer-to-peer discussions.
