Native App Will Serve as Mobile Front End for OPERA and Suite8
Oracle is pleased to announce availability of Oracle Hospitality Hotel Mobile, a native mobile application for hotel staff that can run on Oracle’s MICROS E-series tablets and commercially available smart phones and tablets. The Hotel Mobile application offers key front-desk, housekeeping and maintenance functions through an intuitive, easy-to-learn user interface. Oracle Hospitality Hotel Mobile allows key capabilities in the OPERA and Suite8 hotel management systems to be accessed from anywhere there is wireless connectivity. Hotel staff can manage guest rooms, as well as check-in and check-out guests at curbside, in lobbies or meeting rooms, or even at the airport. For VIP customers, check-in can be completed by accompanying staff in a car en route to the hotel, allowing the guest to bypass the front desk entirely.
Native App Offers Greater Capability, More Intuitive Interface
Oracle Hospitality Hotel Mobile is available for Windows and iOS devices. Devices running the Hotel Mobile application will be able to communicate with key encoders for room keys, Chip and PIN devices for credit card transactions using standard interfaces that are available for Oracle Hospitality OPERA and Suite8. This untethers hotel staff from the front desk, allowing them to provide services to guests wherever they are at a hotel property.
With Hotel Mobile, hoteliers have the ability to also improve operational efficiency by streamlining housekeeping and maintenance processes. Real-time updates on mobile devices will show housekeeping when guests checkout. Housekeeping staff can provide instantaneous updates on the status of rooms keeping the housekeeping team and other departments such as the front desk and maintenance updated on room availability. Room cleaning can also be prioritized based on guest arrivals. Hotel Mobile makes it easier to inspect rooms and capture maintenance issues, improving the efficiency of maintenance operations. By allowing hotel staff to add photographs to a maintenance request, the application expedites the maintenance process, resulting in an improved guest experience.
Oracle Hospitality Hotel Mobile will enable the 35,000+ properties around the world that use OPERA and Suite8 to mobile-enable their staff, and deliver individualized guest experiences. The Hotel Mobile application has a small footprint and can be easily added to existing OPERA and Suite8 installations.
