Casa de Campo Enjoys Big Wins with Oracle Property Management and Point of Sale

Casa de Campo, one of the most exclusive resort destinations in the Caribbean, is a 7,000-acre hotel, resort and residential community in La Romana on the southeastern coast of the Dominican Republic. In Oracle’s recent interview with Casa de Campo’s Lucie Chmelikov, Director of Revenue Management and Distribution, and Franklin Carpio, Director of Information, the duo detailed why they initially selected Oracle, and why they have partnered with Oracle for the long-term.

Chmelikov listed various benefits of the Oracle system, starting with her observation, “We used to spend 80% of our time compiling data and 20% analyzing.” With the Oracle platform, however, “We’ve flipped that around.” Oracle technology delivers critical information in real-time, so that resort associates can quickly make decisions about accounts, clients, and inventory – as well as get to know their guests personally.

Beyond the guest experience, Oracle has enabled Casa de Campo to trim business costs, increase operational efficiency, and illuminate important analytics. Carpio commented, “Reporting and Analytics is a versatile and very easy to use tool. We can review sales at each consumer center, know which products are being sold, which employee is selling the product, and which consumer center is selling more.”
