Android cracking up, no surprise for veterans of Java ME tech

You would think that Android would learn from the experiences of Java ME technology. But, nooooo... Android likes to make lots of mistakes including fracturing their partners who are shunning their devices and seeking out rival apps and services.

See:

Android showing signs of cracking

Here's a quote:

 By shunning the Nexus One
 and adding rival applications
 to phones, the handset makers
 and carriers may loosen
 Google’s control over how
 customers use wireless devices.
 ...Recent setbacks may hamper
 Google’s efforts to replicate
the success of its Web search
 engine in the burgeoning mobile
 advertising market.
Nice. Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat the same mistakes of the past. Good job, Android.
