Download QuickStart Guide to Fusion Development Sample Code

My book, the QuickStart Guide to Fusion Development JDeveloper and Oracle ADF, includes a link to a sample application (https://qsfusionsample.samplecode.oracle.com/).  The hosting site I used is no longer available and so the sample application can be downloaded from here.
Comments:

My sample oe schema, and pre-loaded data seems to be slightly different than the one you used. Would you be able to point me toward scripts to create the oe schema objects - as they exist in your book and your sample application?

I am confused about p.210
How I can implement getCommision() in the managed bean?
Is there any steps for illustration?

Thanks

I need to be careful here on how to advise you since it all depends on what you are really wanting to do. Remember, as a rule, your business logic should live and breath in the Model project. Don't be tempted to starting doing anything "business rules" like in the managed bean. If you want to simply get that value in the managed bean you can go though the binding layer (see page 271 in the book). Again, it all depends on what you want to do since it might not be the best place to put code.

Can you tell me how to create an entity object that selects tables from 2 different schemas.

I am trying to do similar to what you suggested in your book, Quick Start Guide to Oracle Fusion Development, p. 37-38.
For example, I want to create an EO based on the OE schema and HR schema with the following tables:
CUSTOMERS
EMPLOYEES
INVENTORIES
ORDER_ITEMS
ORDERS
PRODUCT_INFORMATION

where the table EMPLOYEES come from the HR schema.
I was able to create the connections to both EO and HR schemas under current application.
I also tried to create both connections as an IDE connections.
But I could not get the EMPLOYEES table to show up.

I am using jdeveloper 11.1.2.2

Thanks,
Binh

I just bought the book. I set up Oracle XE and JDev 11.1.1.6

I'm having an issue where the default OE/HR(synonyms) schema objects do not have the appropriate relationships, constraints, etc.

From the oracle site i followed these instructions:
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B28359_01/server.111/b28328/scripts.htm#autoId5

Any help would be great. I find it difficult to follow along when I don't see the same results the book is displaying.

The OE schema doesn't come as part of the XE database, only the EE - it might be that the scripts you are using don't fully work on XE - did you get any errors when running them?
