Rene von Borstel, who is from Mexico, but doing his masters in bio-informatics at the Universidad Complutense Madrid
is a NetBeans user. He is standing next to me right now, here in Madrid. He used to work in Mexico for Sony, where the whole IT department (20 people) used NetBeans 4.0. He's mainly a web developer, using Struts. (But, thanks to our discussion, and the quick 'hello world' demo that I did, using the NetBeans support that I've been working on, maybe he'll move to Wicket!) He likes NetBeans: "It is easy, intuitive, I use VCS, but I would like Subversion support in NetBeans IDE". Rene also says: "All the university and informatics people working in science, use Perl. Why isn't there support for Perl in NetBeans?"
