Less Noisy NetBeans

Especially when you've tuned NetBeans to make it dark, it's helpful to be able to remove as much noise as possible. Spend less than 3 minutes learning how to do this!

    Geertjan, wouldn't it be nice to instead of making the highlighting disappear, making it a lot more subtle. For instance, instead of this yellow background a dashed, light-green rectangle around the selected word.

    In other words, name the Java IDE that still doesn't ship with a dark theme.

    I know, I know, nobody chooses an IDE by the theme selection, but my KDE workspace has been dark for a while and bright things just don't blend in.

    You can change more subtle colors for "Mark Occurences" under "Fonts & Colors", "Syntax" and then pick a language. Cant set one for all apparently.
