The Gradle team (thanks Szczepan and others) fixed a crucial bug impacting, at least, NetBeans IDE and so now the Gradle/NetBeans plugin is coming along OK. Click to enlarge the screenshot and notice the dependencies and Gradle targets shown in the left side of the screenshot and the Groovy editor on the right hand side:

Still lots of work to do, especially would like to have a Gradle file for NetBeans RCP projects, which Hans Dockter from the Gradle team is helping me with.

    Great news everyone!

This is really good news, I've been thinking about trying out gradle for netbeans platform applications for a while. Never really gotten around to it. So big +1! Keep up the good work :D

I hope this will be provided in the official dist.

I have reported such an issue before for requiring Gradle support, but NetBeans Team closed it with " WONT FIX" reason.

That's great news and exactly what I'm looking for.

Where can I downlaod it ?

Excellent. Waiting for this plugin to show up in NetBeans plugin repository. Thanks.

Any word on progress? I'd love to contribute if I could get access to the source for the plugin. Perhaps a github / googlecode project would generate code contribution from the opensource community.

Looking for this plugin. I had hoped new NetBeans 7.1 will support Gradle.

Please make it happens, I don't want to switch to IntelliJ:)

Apologies for the stupid question, can you provide link to download this plugin? I have searched online and for the life of me cannot find it.

    Many thanks

Do you know when this project might see more life? The source repository hasn't been touched since the first few commits.

I'm very keen on using Gradle, but we are suffering with Maven due to it having good IDE support.

This project looks abandoned and dead.

I'm not using NetBeans but it would be nice to provide projects which can be used by NetBeans-Develpoers.

If the NetBeans Team won't fix it, I hope, they will lose customers to Eclipse and IntelliJ.

Since I discovered Gradle, I don't want to work with Maven for a second anymore.

Hmmm. Actually it's very much alive and in the Plugin Portal:
