Filthy Rich Clients on the NetBeans Platform!

Geertjan Wielenga
Product Manager
If you go to Amazon.com, you can now buy "Filthy Rich Clients" by Romain Guy and Chet Haase, together with our own "Rich Client Programming":

That sounds like a cool deal. The "Better Together" combinations on Amazon.com seem to change quite frequently. A few weeks ago "Rich Client Programming" could be bought together with "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Book 7)". And then a week back one could buy it together with Adam Myatt's Pro NetBeans IDE 5.5 Enterprise Edition.

So, if you're interested in filthy rich clients, better snap up this opportunity while it's there! Click here to get to the site.

Geertjan, thanks for the mention. I would preorder "Rich Client Programming" in a heartbeat, but I'm attending JavaOne and NetBeans Day this year and plan on getting there early enough to be in the first 400 attendees to get a free copy!!

    Hi Geertjan,
I bought the rough cuts version from Safari, but i am unable to find a download link for the sample code anywhere. It doesn't appear to be present in the books home page either at http://www.netbeans.org/books/rcp.html.
Thanks for a great book..but i am scratching my head without the samples. :-)

Hi Tarun, no the sample code isn't included. However, the samples are described in detail throughout the rough cut. There's not much in the samples that isn't discussed in the rough cut. When you buy the complete book, the samples will be available on a CD attached to the book.
