The Happy Couple: Java 8 & NetBeans 8

Don't they look sweet together?

Get them here:

NetBeans 8 info:

Hello Java 8 and NetBeans 8:

Just installed it yesterday evening.
The looks are much alike the looks of Netbeans 7.4; even the splashscreen is the same.
However, some minor (but slightly irritating) issues I ran into with 7.4 seem to have been fixed. And, is it just a thought or has the startup time improved?
I am happy with it; even on JDK 7.
Thanks again for a great release of the greatest IDE, Netbeans team.

I have been using the betas and release candidates and have good experiences ever since. This final version will probably even be better.

I shown these version to the students and they where mostly impressed, in particular with the possibility to change the appearance easily and when showing dark nimbus or dark metal.

All in all very nice indeed.
We will most likely use netbeans 8 + primefaces in the next students project.

Will there be an update of the SAF plugin for NetBean 8? NetBeans is useless (to me) without SAF-support.
