Quick Pic: Maven in NetBeans IDE 8

Ha! Both slf4j and commons-logging!
It's exactly issues like these that visual tools help you identify easily.

The Graph thing is really cool for Maven in NB. But, this has been available before 8 too. Would like to know what is newly done here...

Read http://wiki.netbeans.org/NewAndNoteworthyNB80 and you'll see it's completely new that you can switch between vertical, horizontal, and hierarchical graphs. That's really helpful, getting different perspectives on your dependencies: "More layouts in pom dependency graph + improved painting of connections."

Probably not the right place to ask this but... is it no longer possible to develop modules without Maven on NB8? Under New project, the only module-related options are in the Maven group.

Are you sure? Would be interesting to see some kind of evidence of that -- can you send a screenshot to me at geertjan dot wielenga at oracle dot com?

Panic over! I deleted the 8.0 profile directory (AppData\Roaming\Netbeans\8.0 or whatever), restarted and it came back to normal. This was under Windows 8.1, 64 bit JDK 8. Who knows why? Anyway it seems OK now, apologies for the spurious report.
