NetBeans Problem View

The NetBeans equivalent for the Eclipse Problem View is the Action Items Window, accessible via Window | Action Items in the main menu.

It is a central collection point for problems found throughout all open projects, or the current project, or the current file, with problems and filters that can be set. And it can be configured further in the Options window:

There's always more info that the Action Items Window could provide. In other words, if you're missing something from this feature, please let us know, either via an issue in Issuezilla or via some comments at the end of this blog entry. Since the Action Items Window is extensible, would be cool to hear of some use cases that are currently not supported, to inspire the creation of some new plugins!

Comments:

Windows 8.1 is driving me mad. I had to install/uninstall Netbeans 7.4 3 times before it could connect to my projects but its still not correct. It is attached to one file and every time I run any file it runs that file. So I tried 'debug' and files run correctly. What is the problem and how can I correct it?

What does "connect to my projects" mean? Really hard to help, what you're saying doesn't make much sense. "It is attached to one file" -- what does that mean? Anyway, drop me an e-mail at geertjan.wielenga@oracle.com and we'll try to figure it out. (And if Windows 8.1 is driving you mad, you should be writing to someone at Microsoft, not someone from NetBeans, I think.)

Hi,
I was wondering if there's a way to export all the action items identified?
