I believe this image to represent the essence of the key features of NetBeans IDE 8.

Looking forward to using NB 8 in a production environment. Your nice screenshot is now also referenced from https://netbeans.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=240849 ! :)

To me, that's an argument and lambda expressions (or at least their implementation in Java). The code doesn't look any more readable to me. Quite the contrary.

But back on topic, yes that feature will come in handy.

So here I was celebrating NetBeans 8.0 and decided to update my JavaScript libraries while creating a new project. So I waited and waited while the text says Loading... After it was finished loading from CDNJS none of the updated libraries appear in the list of available JavaScript libraries.

So I tried using the Tools menu to select library and try something. Not even an option to add a JavaScript library to an open project. Wow. This is the second major disappointment I had with NetBeans. I am at the point where I am ready to erase NetBeans from my machine and move on to using Bracket exclusively. Now, I am using Ubuntu 13.10 so I am not sure if the flaw is related. NetBeans 8 was downloaded directly from Oracle's site and then installed without using a repository.

Wow, what a disappointment.

Just right-click the project and go to Properties, where you can add any JavaScript library you want to an open project.

I am stuck on this "Loading ..." - issue too.

Everything worked fine until the last Update from CDNJS.

Using the properties of the HTML5-Project is no option,
because this will take you to the same Dialog-Box with the
same fail ("Loading ...").

loading, loading, loading - is this really release 8?

switched to brackets - thanks for the hint!

Yeah, can't help if your bug reports consist of leaving comments in blogs without any details.

Hi, same bug here! In few words when I update the cdnjs file netbeans doesn't show the js libraries anymore, it is stucked in a infinite loading, even when I erased the cache, someone know a solution? (this is the only place in which I found this bug mentioned) sorry if I made some english mistake, thank you!

The solution is to file an issue: https://netbeans.org/community/issues.html
