NetBeans HTML Editor and Groovy Editor in a Multiview Component (Part 2)

Updated the CMS sample to 7.1 (based on the first part of this series) that several people have been asking about. To use it, take the following steps:

  1. Get the "All" distribution of NetBeans IDE 7.1 Beta and during the installation process, select the following:


  2. Run the IDE that you will have at the end of the above process. Download the CMS sample from here:

    http://java.net/projects/nb-api-samples/sources/api-samples/show/versions/7.1/misc/MyCMSSystem

    When you open the sample in the IDE, you'll see this:


  3. Run the application and you'll have a multiview component, showing the HTML editor in the HTML tab:


  4. In the Groovy tab, you'll see the Groovy editor:

    You'll also be able to run Groovy scripts:


And now you can look through the sources. The example isn't complete, there's a lot more functionality that could be added, but it's a starting point for you to learn further.
