Exit Dialog of NetBeans RCP Applications with Unhandled Savables

Based on yesterday's blog entry, here you see the Paint Application with Savables still in the registry when exiting the application:

And here's the CRUD Application, with Exit dialog showing an unhandled Savable:

The related tutorial for the above application has been updated accordingly:

Comments:

Hi Geertjan,

This looks to be a great improvement to the platform. Unfortunately, in my application (Praxis) the save() method happens asynchronously - there is no way of ensuring saving is complete when the method returns.

AFAIK, the old exit dialog assumes save is complete when the save() method returns. Do you know if the new implementation listens to the Savables registry lookup and waits for the registry to become empty before allowing exit to continue?

Best wishes, Neil
