Big Bunch of New NetBeans RCP Applications
By Geertjan on Jun 23, 2010
Here's a list of recently published NetBeans Zone articles on lesser known NetBeans RCP applications:
- Electronic Warfare Simulation
- Open Source Trading Client
- Swedish Trading Client
- Petroleum Engineering
- Automated Control System Development
- Shoe Design Costing
- Climate & Energy Competition Evaluation
- Cycling Power Analysis
- Home Automation Design
- Network Inventory Manager
- Database Design
- Music Composition
- Semiconductor Defect Tracking
- Biomechanics Research
- Human Motion Analysis
The list above presents a very diverse range of domains—from analyzing the cost of designing a shoe to evaluating the impact of an electronic war. It's also interesting that a couple of the applications above relate to each other. So, where relevant, the developers behind the applications above, as well as the others on the screenshots page, have been introduced to each other. Looking forward to seeing what the synergy that creating applications on a common platform can provide, such as in the bioinformatics sector, for example.
The screenshots page will be extended with screenshots of the applications listed above. More lesser known NetBeans RCP applications are waiting in the queue to be announced via NetBeans Zone, in the same way as happened with the applications listed above.
If you have an application on the NetBeans RCP, you are very warmly invited to let the world know about its NetBeans RCP basis, either leave a comment here, or write a new article on NetBeans Zone, or blog about it. (Feel free to write to me about it too, at geertjan dot wielenga at sun dot com.) Or Twitter about it. Twitter is a really great way for sharing information about your NetBeans RCP development work.
Looking forward to finding many more YANPAs in the coming weeks and months.
