Blow Fire and Math
This morning, Eric jumped on our bed and said that he could blow fire. I asked him to show me. He said he would need to eat a lot of hot pepper, and he didn't want to do it now.
Well then I asked him to show it on the stage next time when he is ready. He said no as usual. I knew that he is not that kind of kid loving to show off in front of people. In order to encourage him, I told him I could sell tickets to audience and he could get half of the money. My wife wanted to try him and said she would like to have the other half. Eric didn't disagree at all but instead he wanted to give half to his big brother Tiger. What a kind boy.
In order to teach him what is a half. I gave him an example, if the income is $20, I take $10 and his mom takes $10, there is nothing left for his brother. Eric insisted that I should give at least $1 to Tiger from my half. I taught him that $9 is not half of $20. Guess what was Eric's answer. A standard childish response, he could make $21, then I would get $10 and Tiger would get $1. What else I could say. Maybe wait another year.
it is really interesting
