Using Technology In Higher Education to Manage Operational Cost

Louise Tegner
Communications & Marketing Manager

Author: Rebecca Maxwell, EMEA Business Transformation at Oracle Consulting

With fierce competition for revenue, changes to pension costs and investment in transformation programmes, there is an urgent need for Higher Education institutions to proactively control operational costs. In this paper we propose that cloud technologies for students, academic and professional services staff can be utilised to control spend, manage funding, partner for shared services, and drive benefits through data management.

The paper also provides insight into how an engaging implementation can drive benefits from new solutions, and that ‘go live’ is only the first step of the journey: embedding effective, repeatable ways of working, robust governance in adopting new functionality, and applying an appropriate service and support model are equally important.
