A balance between customers and employees needs

UEM Edgenta had its sights set on transforming its business operations to serve the customer better. On top of that, it recognised that human resources (HR) play a big role in retaining talent and responding to its ever-changing workforce’s needs. From these two main components, different data were collected across different systems, which leads to various reports being generated for management decision making. This wealth of data then needs to be processed further to produce refined results in line with UEM Edgenta’s people forward strategies.

On the business front, Oracle Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management (HCM) provides one single source of truth that manages every stage of the employee lifecycle. It is a one-stop solution that simplifies processes and makes information easier to find, understand, and act on. Being a massive project, Oracle Consulting determined that the best way was to stagger the implementation process into two stages, targeting both at the same time remotely.

Boosting employee experience and rethinking human resources

On 1 June 2020, UEM Edgenta went live with HCM Cloud. Harmonising data sets onto one platform was done by creating a tailor-made digital solution developed in five months. This helped improve the employee experience as it streamlined how data flowed from one touchpoint to another seamlessly.

Since then, UEM Edgenta has continuously personalised the system and leveraged the delivered Oracle HCM features to elevate the employee experience and meet business change. On 1 September 2021, UEM Edgenta rebranded the HCM cloud to EDGE (Employee DiGital Experience) with the introduction of an enterprise-tailored line manager dashboard, Connections, Journey, and e-Certificate for completed learning. On 8 February 2022, UEM Edgenta successfully launched the Oracle Recruiting Cloud, transforming conventional recruitment into a modern and dynamic hiring process.
