How a market-leading security company is using a modern mobile experience to optimize their sales process

Prosegur is a global leader in the private security sector. Established in 1976, the company consists of three business lines (Prosegur Alarms, Prosegur Security and Prosegur Cash) that provide companies, homes and businesses with trusted security based on the most advanced solutions available on the market.

Prosegur employs over 175,000 employees in 24 countries over five continents, and has more than 39,900 direct beneficiaries.


Company Background

As part of the group’s strategy, Prosegur is fostering innovation and the optimization of internal processes: the company is undergoing an extensive digital transformation, intensifying the use of new technologies across all of its business lines, and developing global multi-service centres. These initiatives allow for differentiation based on the quality of the services that Prosegur offers, and also demonstrate the company's commitment to pursuing innovation and excellence.

In addition, Prosegur has defined three quantitative objectives related to the growth of the business:

  1. Profitability of operations
  2. Cash generation
  3. Business transformation

Other business objectives with a more qualitative focus relate to: innovation, digital transformation, profitable growth, a higher degree of sophistication in services, increased efficiency, and incorporation of advanced analytics and robotics.

A Digitized Sales Process

As part of the group’s optimization of internal processes, Prosegur Alarms have been co-innovating alongside Oracle to drive efficiency in its sales process through the introduction of a modern sales mobile application to digitalize and expedite the entire selling process from end-to-end.

The introduction of this new mobile experience has reduced the sales process down from 15 days down to a mere 15 minutes!

The mobile experience contains several key features:

The application:

  • Enables sales representatives to manage accounts, opportunities, quotes, contracts and day-to-day sales activities on their device

  • Provides offline capability for use remotely in poor network areas

  • Is enabled for push notifications, device camera, location services, digital signature, maps and payment

The solution:

  • Evaluates sales performance and manages incentive compensation for the sales team 
  • Monitors sales progress and sales person management, and analyses sales trends


A cloud based mobile experience

Prosegur Alarms understands that cloud integration is the key to its worldwide growth strategy. The new mobile sales application provides Prosegur with a modern user experience underpinned by Oracle Cloud, which saves the cost of in-house servers, resources and other equipment. Oracle Cloud has also allowed Prosegur to quickly achieve a stable, reliable, backed-up mobile solution.

The application was built using leveraging several key Oracle services.

Focus on business outcomes

Prosegur Alarms has sought support for its innovative journey through engagement with Oracle Consulting (OC). Specifically, OC Digital Experience (DX) has provided Prosegur Alarms with specialists in mobile and web technology to successfully achieve their business outcomes. Working together, Prosegur and Oracle have provided more than 800 sales representatives with an improved user experience, while significantly reducing the duration of the end-to-end sales process. The next stage in the delivery process has already begun, and the app will be rolled out in other countries very soon.
