Improvements in this release include:

  • Obsolete prompts removed from many modules for version 12c or later
  • Improvements to the Java Database Connectivity (JDBC) collection and report, including support for latest JDBC versions
  • Inclusion of Semaphore and Message Queue information in the Tuxedo report
  • Improved resilience when running against standalone Oracle Internet Directory (OID)
  • More informative messaging when Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) SmartExport executable is not available
  • Removal of reference to the frameset feature, which is deprecated in HTML5
  • Removal of RDA compiled engine distributions which do not include fully-supported Perl versions

This release of RDA is bundled with the 2.12.38 release of the Diagnostic Assistant (DA). The DA tool is a command-line interface framework designed to simplify and standardize the end user’s experience with various diagnostic tools. Providing a common, lightweight extensible interface to multiple collection tools such as Automatic Diagnostic Repository (ADR) and Oracle Configuration Manager (OCM). DA packages can also work with Oracle applications (JDE EnterpriseOne, Siebel, PeopleSoft) as verifiers, providing a basic Java interface to facilitate the user’s data collection.

For information about DA functionality, refer to Diagnostic Assistant: Information Center (Doc ID 201804.2)
