Announcement: Introducing Oracle Forms Quarterly Patch Release

Thank you to Dan Andronache for providing the information for this post!

Beginning in January 2022, Oracle will be transitioning to a more flexible and responsive strategy for the Oracle Forms patch release process. This will provide customers with a more flexible way to both:

a) Efficiently adopt Bug fixes when needed.
b) Efficiently keep current with Quarterly Security Updates.

All fixes will be part of Quarterly Patch Releases (QPRs) normally released every quarter, which are proactive cumulative patches containing recommended bug fixes that are released on a regular and predictable schedule. QPRss are on the same quarterly schedule as the Critical Patch Updates (CPU). Please see the "Critical Patch Updates" link on the Oracle Technical Network page for details and a schedule forecast.

No one offs will be released, all available fixes will be included in the QPRs.

The QPRs serve as a new baseline version for reporting Oracle Forms issues to Oracle.

The quarterly patch release has been released on the 9th of February, 2022, patch number 33643765.

Please check Oracle Forms Quarterly Patch Release (QPR) information (Doc ID 2834458.2) for details.
