Heading to Oracle OpenWorld this year? Here are a few things that may come in handy:

1. If you haven't registered yet, be sure to do so by September 26 to avail the $200 discount on registration.

2.  As you may know, San Francisco will be truly Red from September 28 - October 2 - the span of the conference. Oracle OpenWorld 2014 housing block is now available and open for booking. Make sure to get your booking in before the lowest conference hotel rates sold out or while the rooms are still available. The conference offers complimentary shuttles to Moscone Center at regular intervals from or near most of these hotels.

3. Content Catalog is now live. You can now take a look at the sessions being planned by products or solutions. For all things middleware, select "All Products and Services" from the left hand side menu and click on "Middleware". For Oracle AppAdvantage (or Oracle Fusion Middleware for Enterprise Applications), do the search per above and then select "Middleware for Enterprise Applications" under the "Middleware" section.

4. Are you active on social media? Don't forget using these hashtags to discuss OpenWorld, Middleware, AppAdvantage, et al: #OOW14, #AppAdvantage, #FMW, . Inside the OOW Session: Optimize Cross-Channel Marketing with Oracle Fusion Middleware

Author: Christie Flanagan, Principal Product Marketing Director, Oracle

In the last several years, the online universe has expanded and evolved across multiple channels. As a result, the digital customer journey has become increasingly complex. It is now common for customers to rely on multiple channels of interaction with a brand when making their purchasing decisions.

The problem is that most companies are having difficulty keeping up with this new cross-channel reality. In fact, very few organizations are doing a good job meeting customers’ expectations in this area. Companies realize that in order to be effective now, marketing campaigns must deliver a seamless customer experience across all touch points from email to the web to mobile. At the same time, this cross-channel experience must remain relevant to the customer throughout by presenting the right content or information to him or her at the right time. Ultimately, the goal is to influence behavior to drive conversions, but how do you get there?

Find out by joining us at Oracle OpenWorld for the session:

Oracle AppAdvantage: Optimize Cross-Channel Marketing with Oracle Fusion Middleware [CON9271]
Wednesday, September 25, 2013 from 1:15 p.m. - 2:15 p.m.
Moscone West - 2014

During this session, you’ll hear from our web experience management expert and Oracle WebCenter Sites Principal Product Manager, Srinivasan Sankaran, and me on how integrating a marketing automation system such as Oracle Eloqua with Oracle Fusion Middleware technology for web experience management and predictive targeting provides a cross-channel marketing solution that streamlines marketing content creation, integrates customer data stored in disparate systems for more-effective targeting, and harmonizes behavioral data across touch points to provide campaign wide insight and optimization.
