Focus on Fusion Middleware at Oracle OpenWorld 2011

Oracle OpenWorld 2011 takes over San Francisco in just a few weeks, and it’s time to start planning how to get the most from Oracle Fusion Middleware events and sessions. Attendees can choose from more than 2,000 sessions in all, with more than 400 sessions in the middleware and develop streams.

So what should you look for?

First, be sure to attend the middleware general session, Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g—Foundation for Innovation on Monday, October 3, 11:00 a.m., Moscone—Hall D. Oracle Senior Vice President Hasan Rizvi discusses the latest innovations in Oracle Fusion Middleware involving Oracle Exalogic and Cloud computing.

New this year: The Oracle Develop Stream

Learn about cutting-edge development technologies with dozens of in-depth technical sessions and advanced how-tos on topics such as Oracle Application Development Framework (Oracle ADF), Oracle WebLogic Server, Oracle Database, Oracle Solaris operating system development, and more.

Look for: Cloud Coverage

Cloud computing is bigger than ever, and this hot topic will cross sessions, streams, and demonstrations. From customer stories to general sessions, you’ll hear about visionary new strategies for using Fusion Middleware to innovate through the Cloud.

Learn from: Customer Stories
Leading Oracle customers share their innovative uses of Oracle Fusion Middleware technology. Look for Dell on business intelligence, Sabre Holdings on data integration, Qualcomm on SOA and BPM, and Land O’Lakes on its use of Oracle WebCenter. And don’t miss our biggest customer-oriented session yet. The coveted Oracle Fusion Middleware Innovation Awards will be announced at the session Oracle Fusion Middleware: Meet This Year's Most Impressive Customer Projects on Tuesday, October 4, 11:45 a.m., Moscone West—3007.

Don’t Forget to: Connect
Oracle OpenWorld is about connecting with peers and experts face-to-face. Stroll through the Oracle DEMOgrounds in Moscone South and see exclusive Oracle Fusion Middleware demos highlighting everything from the latest in development tooling and extending business applications to cloud computing. Or visit the OTN Lounge located in the Howard Street Tent to enjoy live Oracle techcasts, giveaways, refreshments, and even a place to charge your laptop. And with live social media coverage throughout the show, this year promises more blogs, Facebook posts, and tweets than you can shake a hashtag at. To join the buzz, follow #OOW11 and #middleware, of course you'll want to subscribe to this Oracle Fusion Middleware blog, or join the other middleware channels on Twitter and Facebook.

Take It with You: Focus on Show Roadmaps
Download these middleware Focus On documents to take with you throughout the show—they highlight what to see and where to go within each stream and track. I’ve also listed several of the key middleware focus on documents here:
