Oracle Employee Ryan Pitts Awarded Congressional Medal of Honor

Oracle is proud to announce that one of its very own, Ryan M. Pitts, a former active duty Army Staff Sergeant and current Oracle employee was awarded the coveted Congressional Medal of Honor. The Congressional Medal of Honor is the highest military decoration awarded by the United States government for combat valor. He will become the ninth living recipient of this prestigious award to honor his actions in Iraq or Afghanistan. Former Staff Sergeant Pitts will be awarded the Medal of Honor for his courageous actions while serving as a Forward Observer during combat operations in Afghanistan on July 13, 2008. He will be awarded next month at the White House.
Here's what Oracle President, Mark Hurd expressed, “Today we recognize the distinguished service and outstanding integrity of former Staff Sergeant Ryan Pitts as he receives our nation’s highest military honor.
