Oracle Fusion Financials to be unveiled at Oracle Openworld

As mentioned by my friend, Theresa, in the Financials Marketing Blog, an Overview of Fusion Financials will be presented at Oracle OpenWorld 2010.  If you haven't registered, earlybird registration is open until July 16th.

In addition to the overview session, Oracle executives will be answering your Top Ten questions about Oracle Fusion Financials.  If you have questions, we would love to hear them!  Just reply with a comment to this blog entry.  I can't guarantee that your question will make it into the Top Ten, but we will answer you questions via this blog in the future.

So what questions do you have about Oracle Fusion Financials?

Comments:

Is it all coded in HTML/JSP/Java ? Is all the code written from scratch ? Is there a similarity in the fields in the Financials Developer Forms in R12 and the forms in Fusion ?

I'd say my top four questions are: 1. Will web 2.0/AJAX type operations come in Fusion to the new self-service versions of customer/supplier setup introduced in R12? Moving between various tabs and selecting from LOV is much slower in R12 for these self service web operations that seem ripe for AJAX. 2. What types of technologies and setups will Fusion use to make things like drilldown from JE back to subledgers (that I assume could be in different instances) work with security and seamlessly for users (ideally without new products/licenses/setup work)? 3. Are there any new integrations for EBS GL-to-Hyperion planned to make setup of new segment values/hierarchies and especially cross validation rules easier out of the box? 4. SLA in R12 seemed to be a way to reduce accounting workflow/other non-core customizations in subledgers. However, the flexibility there also makes it somewhat dangerous if all scenarios aren't considered (eg don't just update the PO Receipt accounting but also to return/correction/etc). Are there any enhancements to the module planned to make it easier (eg express the functional change required and all transactional scenarios are proposed/changed in the various SLA screens) and safer to use (eg simulate a unique set of related transactions to find unbalanced accounts/suggested scenarios to consider)?
