ECM Reference Architectures

James McGovern asks here (reference architectures) whether there are published reference architectures for Stellent / Oracle UCM.

Well, yes there are - Chris Benedict and I worked on them mid last year and they are on the TBU site.  However, I don't know whether that is visible to the public.  I'll find out and follow up because this is exactly the kind of open information sharing I believe we should be doing.

If they are not public, I'll stand up and ask for them to be shared with the wider ECM community.  The article that James links to (reference architecture 2) is absolutely right and I'm confident that we still provide value through our consulting and expert services even if we provide this kind of info publicly.  In fact, I'd say it makes everyone's job easier, because there's a common vocabulary, a common understanding of deployment requirements, and a starting point for the substantive deployment discussions.

UPDATE - It doesn't look like the Fusion Middleware reference architectures are public.  I've reached out to the internal site owners to find out what we need to do to make them public.  I guess if nothing else we could publish them here, but I'd rather see them linked off the OTN page.
