The Oracle Food and Beverage strategy team has been hitting the road to meet with customers and hold discussions on the future of food service and restaurant POS technology.
The F&B team recently headed to Stockholm in Sweden to spend time together in workshops and site visits. Kiosks and digital have been top of the agenda at MAX Burgers for many years now, and Johnny Bröms, their CIO, showed us round their newest locations that are 100% kiosk and digital ordering in conjunction with restaurant POS. Watching the process at work, and how staff and customers engage, was extremely insightful for everyone. Other discussion subjects included master data management, AI, loyalty, and the future of restaurant POS.
In the evening, the group gathered in the bar to watch England v Tunisia in the World Cup. In true English style, the game ended and the call went up for a post-match celebratory burger – luckily our hero Johnny was on hand to lead everyone to the nearest MAX.
