Most popular virtual connect power sessions

Chris Adams
VP, F&B Strategy, Oracle

The Oracle Food and Beverage Virtual Connect program was designed to inspire and motivate you to take on the next challenge or opportunity for your business. Our product strategy, solution engineering, consulting and customer success teams shared a robust catalog of Power Sessions on topics ranging from omnichannel cost control to international expansion. We intentionally designed these sessions to be convenient for you, our customers. Based on the last seven days of customer views and engagement, here are the most popular Power Sessions:

Expand sales channels faster with mobile and modern API

Off-premises sales continue to make up a significant percent of total sales for restaurants. The National Restaurant Association reported that in September 71 percent of operators say off-premises sales are currently higher than traditional sales. In this session, solution engineers Pete Dalby and Henrick Hessbo discussed our next-gen transactional service API, which significantly simplifies restaurant menu management across all consumer interactions, from online orders to 3rd parties and at the point of sale. As a restaurateur, you can configure your menu, your restaurant POS, and that data is cascaded out to all your consumer-facing applications via the cloud. This session also explored online ordering systems for restaurants and consumer-facing mobile applications that are responsive, allow for order ahead and collection, and is easily configured with no HTML editing required. Curbside, walk-in and tableside order and pay solutions

New styles of service will remain in high-demand well after we get back to dining-in at restaurants. There are several opportunities to create a low-touch, yet highly engaging customer experience with mobile, tablet and self-service kiosks. As the channels sending orders to your kitchens expand, our express service 400 kitchen display system (KDS) gives your kitchen greater real estate to process orders efficiently.

In our research, Dining In and Out in 2021, consumers rated the option to pay on a self-service device as important to making them feel safer coming back to a restaurant. Our express station 410 combined with kiosk 110 combine to provide a compelling self-service kiosk system for your restaurant. In the Curbside, Walk-in and Table Order and Pay Solutions session strategy lead John Nicewick talks through the latest enhancements to our POS hardware portfolio.

Managing large scale configurations efficiently with zones and overrides

Growing your business from a single location to multiple requires several foundational considerations including menu management, labor, brand consistency, front- and back-of-house operations. In this technical session, solution engineer Gabor Bona talks through how restaurant operators and corporate franchises can scale their business efficiently in the cloud with Oracle MICROS Simphony POS.
