An Oracle Food and Beverage interview with Sara Rush Wirth, Content Director, Foodservice at Winsight, LLC
If you’re leading a growing restaurant operation, then the Restaurant Directions show taking place in Los Angeles is a great place to pick up new ideas and make useful new contacts.
We spoke to Sara Rush Wirth at Winsight Media, the team behind Restaurant Directions, FSTEC, and the National Restaurant Association show.
Sara, what can restaurant operators expect to gain from attending Restaurant Directions?
The content is specifically catered to growing brands, so operators will be able to gain relevant insights, especially from leading research and data firm, Technomic. There’s also an expo area where attendees can meet with vendors that offer solutions to support business growth. Networking opportunities will also be huge. And it’s a few days in sunny LA!
You have a great agenda lined up - what are the key talking points that will be covered this year?
Menu, management, technology, finance, industry trends, all tailored to restaurant chains that are growing.
What are you personally looking forward to at the event?
Guy Fieri and Phil Rosenthal are two highly anticipated speakers. They are both known for their big personalities, which I am sure will carry into their onstage presence.
What’s been your highlight/favorite moment at Restaurant Directions over the years?
We get a very enthusiastic audience at Restaurant Directions. They are interested in every aspect of the industry and are actively looking for ways to improve their operations. The energy is palpable and creates a sense of momentum that attendees can then take back to their own businesses.
Finally – any tips on things to do/places to eat in LA?
I’d recommend this great LA Food Guide - and it’s from one of our speakers!
