3C Payment Transforms the Oracle Simphony Bar Payment Experience

Have you ever found yourself waiting in line to be served in a crowded bar? You’re watching the bar staff rushing around making drinks, spilling drinks.  They’re lining up to process the orders through the till, or waiting for the payment terminal to be available for use. It can be a common problem in busy city bars and central locations on a Saturday night.

3C Payment, a Platinum Level member of the Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN), supports food & beverage payments for many global hospitality brands using OPI 6.2 validated Pay@Counter and Pay@Table solutions with Simphony 2.x or RES 5.x.  While Pay@Table is perfect for a personalized table management service where customers pay later for the check, and multiple features are needed such as split payment, itemized bills etc, there are too many too many steps involved for a quick bar service. With 3C Oracle Pay@Counter, this is a market leading solution for the QSR sector where the quick speed of service is crucial for high customer turnover. However, the single bar server per POS, locks down the workstation and won’t work with the configuration of a bar environment.

With 3C Pay@Bar, powered by the new 3CFastPay functionality, a single workstation can connect to multiple payment terminals so the technology allows the sending of the check balance to a relevant bar staff’s terminal. Multiple transactions originating from one workstation, can be completed at the same time on different payment terminals, creating a smoother and faster transaction entry experience at the Point of Sale (PoS) allowing it to be quickly freed up for the next user, cutting down queuing.

This results in a highly efficient, and speedy customer journey. Pay@Bar works with Oracle OPI solutions which can be deployed either on site or hosted. Powered by Oracle CAPS and Pay@Table functionality, it is compatible with Oracle Simphony version 18.2 so can be easily adopted by those already using Oracle Hospitality solutions with Simphony and OPI 6.2.

In order to adapt to all client’s business needs, Pay@Bar is highly configurable. Features include Suspend and Send where checks can be converted to Pay@Table checks for later payment without any further interaction with the workstation, and ‘follow me’ functionality where checks can be created on one workstation and recalled on a different one with the same revenue centre for add-ons to the check. Split Bill, Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) and Tip functionality can all be enabled if required.
