See Us At the Apps14-Tech14 UKOUG Conference

Richard Bingham
Senior Development Manager

I have supported the UKOUG annual conferences for many years, often on the Oracle stand as the 'apps person' and occasionally presenting sessions. This year the whole Fusion Applications Developer Relations team are coming to Liverpool, UK and we're putting on a bit of a show. Here is a taster of the things we'll be up to.

The Just-Do-It Workshop

On the Monday we're running a hands-on workshop with live demos of
developing on the Fusion Applications platform. This is located in an Executive Room shared between the twin Apps and Tech conferences, and is open to attendees of both. You can stroll-in at anytime during the day and one of the team will be available to help you with one of the following activities:

  • Build It: Use JDeveloper To Create Your Own Fusion
Application For On-Premise or Cloud Deployment.
  • Tailor It: Use The Built-in Composers To Customize Your
    Fusion Applications environment.
  • Integrate It: Combine Fusion Applications With Your
    Other Applications.
  • Mobilize It: Use The Oracle Mobile Platform With Your
    Fusion Applications.
  • Share It: Ask Your Questions, Hear Common Answers, And
    Show Us Your Own Work.

If you're interested but would rather we drive, that's just
fine, and we'd love to hear your comments and questions as we run a demo. There is no fixed time commitment either, stay as long or as short as you like.

Conference Sessions

We're also presenting two standard sessions, one in each of the twin conferences.

  • Monday 4.30pm - 5.20pm - APPS14:
Incorporating Customization, Extension & Integration in Oracle
    Cloud Applications
  • Wednesday 12.30 - 1.20pm - TECH14: Using Webservices To Extend Oracle Cloud Applications

The FADevRel Library

We're putting together a whole range of special one-off printed books that we'll be giving away at the conference. There will be more than 20 different books available, based on content from sources such as whitepapers, articles, and other material that enhances the product documentation through worked examples, recommendations, and hints-and-tips. These will be available in the Monday workshop and titles will include:

  • Step-by-step guides from the workshop demo's.
  • Whitepapers on various customization topics.
  • Series of articles based around common themes, such as "Integrating With" and "App Composer".
  • Best practice guides, such as tips on using Page Composer.
  • Reusable code samples for use in Expression Language (Page Composer) and Groovy (Application Composer)

Meet Up

Whilst we've nothing formal planned, we'd love to meet up with Oracle partners and customers who are working on Fusion Applications customization or integration projects. We can try to help answer questions and share some knowledge. At the same time we love to hear about your activities, requirements and challenges as it helps us make our products better. If you're going (8-10 Dec) and wish to set a little time aside to speak with us, please get in contact and we'll set something up.
