Reminder: Fusion Cloud Developer Challenge at OpenWorld 2013

Just a short post to remind our community to pre-register for the Developer Challenge we’re running during OpenWorld this year. It’s a chance to win $500 worth of Amazon gift certificates, connect with like-minded people, and get real hands-on with the latest Oracle development tools, Oracle Social Network, Oracle Cloud, and integrating with Oracle Fusion Applications.

Using all these new technologies sounds daunting, but actually the task is quite simple; create a small app that calls at least one of our Approved API's (webservices) and does something with the results. Vik from our team has built example apps for both Java and APEX and the source code is available to all challenge registrants. These demo apps come with detailed explanations and can be redeployed to see them in action. Plus if you're really pushed for time you could just take these demos and make some additions and changes. It could hardly be easier.

The three day challenge officially begins at the end of the Kick-off event at 5pm PT on Sunday, where we'll go over all the resources and requirements again. If you cannot make this event, no sweat, it's not compulsory and everything is already provided and explained anyway.

For a bit more detail see the original announcement, or just register and turn up in the OTN Lounge in Moscone South on Sunday at 4.30pm PT and we'll explain all.
