Customizing Approval Rules in Fusion Applications Explained

Business Analysts and similar administrator users can add and customize the rules used for all the out-of-the-box approval processes that exist in Fusion Applications. This eight minute video from our YouTube Channel shows you the concepts involved and how these features work.

Hello Richard,

This is a nice introduction. A nice How-To would be to create a Dynamic Approval Group based on e.g. PL/SQL. This would be a requirement for most customers. In e.g. the Requisition an Invoice Approval Flows.

Martijn

Thanks for the feedback Martijn. Including creation of a dynamically generated approval group is a great idea and I'll add it on our planned video demo list. Thanks again.

Hi Richard,

Thanks for such a nice video. It will be great if you publish something like - How to find the approval task for a particular business process.
What we are doing is triggering the process in Fusion Apps and monitoring them EM and looking for the instances which are having the data we used for our process. This is time consuming and confusing.

Please try to publish something one this.

Thanks,
Mehabub

Hi Mehabub.
If you're stuggling to spot a SOA Composite instance (for approvals) in EM, then look at searching using the the Sensor Variables. These were added in Rel4 to help searching using real business data (as composite instance ID isnt exposed in the FusionApps UI), and allows searching on values such as transaction numbers or document submitter user names.
I hope I understood your requirement and this helps. I'll also note it in our debugging series to-do list.
Thanks
Richard

Hi,

Is your video planning demo list available?

Hi Sébastien.
No, this is just my own to do list based on both common requirements and specific challenges we hear about. New videos will come out every week however.
Regards
Richard
