Lookout: Connector for Outlook & Multiple Calendars

Old Lookout on Mount Spokane During Winter

Quick note: If you want to be able to create and share multiple calendars with an Outlook client and the Sun Java System Calendar Server, you'll need the following components:

  • Sun Java System Connector for Outlook 7.2
  • Sun Java System Calendar Server 6.3 (AKA Communications Suite 5)
Comments:

A quick play seems to suggest it actually works against pre-JES5 cal servers (as long as patched up to reasonable level). One thing I notice, I seem to get meeting reminders for meetings in other people calendars with the new connector - and then I can't dismiss them as I can't write to the calendar! Bug or just me missing something? Great to see outlook2007 support finally though

Great to see this product get even better!

Quick question: are there any plans/work-in-progress to develop a SyncML connector?

(Our company's in the process of upgrading our Communication Suite, and we would really like to sync calendars/tasks with mobile phones in the not-too-distant future :) )

Check with Synchronica, who is our partner on SyncML stuff.
